To build a high-performing team, it is essential to ensure that there is a balance of skill sets and abilities. The team dynamics will vary depending on the specific goals of the team, but some general guidelines can be useful in determining the ideal balance for your team.

Consider the team’s overall purpose. Is the team responsible for coming up with creative solutions to problems? If so, then you will want to make sure that there are members with strong critical thinking skills. Alternatively, if the team is responsible for implementing already established solutions, then you will want to ensure that there are members with strong project management skills.
