Dealing With Imposter Syndrome

Talk to these mentors about your imposter syndrome issues.

Imposter syndrome is a feeling of self-doubt or insecurity that can arise when we compare ourselves to others, or when we feel like we are not meeting our own high standards. Left unchecked, imposter syndrome can lead to anxiety, depression, and even burnout.

However, there are steps that you can take to overcome imposter syndrome and build confidence in your abilities. One strategy is to find a mentor who can offer guidance and support. When you have someone to talk to about your struggles, it can be easier to see them in a more realistic light.

Additionally, try to focus on your accomplishments rather than your failures. Celebrate each victory, no matter how small, and remind yourself that you are capable of great things. Don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it. We all need assistance from time to time, and there is no shame in admitting that you need support.
