Advice on interacting and collaborating with engineers and developers.
Engineeres are problem solvers. Most are logical, analytic, and very detail-oriented. As a result, it is important to be clear and concise when communicating with engineers who will appreciate it if you can get straight to the point and provide concrete details. However, that doesn’t mean you should micro-manage them - but be clear about what you want to achieve.
Some engineers can be reluctant to ask for help. Their pride is solving problems on their own, even through this can often lead to them feeling overwhelmed and stressed out. If you see an engineer struggling, don’t be afraid to offer your help or support.
