Who is teaching this course?

Hi! My name is Anders Toxboe. I have headed startups, medium sized companies, and large corporations through digital transformations for a decade, helping product teams use psychology to launching successful products on a streak.

I have worked with dozens of startups and corporate innovation teams on the development, launch, and growth of new products and business initiatives. I also created the popular Persuasive Pattern card deck used in this course.

I've created this course to do what I love: teach people the best way to embed product psychology into the user experiences of their products. I'll teach you the most powerful psychological concepts you can use to drive users toward action. I'll teach you to design with purpose and intent.

Find me on Twitter or LinkedIn or simply get in touch.

Design for engagement

After this course, you will be able to apply persuasive psychological principles to create seductive user experiences, that drive users toward action.

Design a persuasive experience over time

The appropriate approach to engaging your users depend on where they are in your product's lifecycle. We will examine all stages of your user-relationship:

  • How to get people onboard
  • How to get people started and discovering all your product has to offer
  • How to make them stick around (and love your product)

Make it happen

You will learn how to carry out smart, quick, and easy product experiments that will help you discover what persuasive concepts work for your particular audience

The starting point is in psyschology

rather than graphical design

We will examine how we are as humans: how we think. You will learn what motivate us when we make decisions and how we make decisions.

Our Psychology Playbook

The Persuasive Patterns card deck

We created the Persuasive Patterns card deck to help us distill complicated psychological concepts into digestible form. It is a collection of 60 design patterns driven by psychology, presented in a manner easily referenced and used as a brainstorming tool.

With a focus on human behavior, each card describes one psychological insight and suggests ways in which you can apply it to your product.

Throughout the course, we'll use the Persuasive Patterns card deck as a shared reference point. We'll try them out and use them in exercises.

When participating in the 2-day masterclass (not conference workshop), you will take home a Persuasive Pattern card deck of your own.
